Agricultural Research and Extension
- NIDA is a managing partner together with Natural Resources International Limited and Michael Flint Associates of the UK for the 5 year Research-into-Use Programme funded by DFID.

TSSD (Technical and Specialist Services for Rural Development), a daughter of NIDA, is running a renewable energy project in Uganda as a franchisee of Sunlabob (a company since 2000 in Vientiane, Laos; a full service provider for electricity affordable for people in remote areas where the electric grid does not reach)
